Rotary Hand Barrel Pump

A Rotary Hand Barrel Pump is a manually operated pump designed to transfer liquids from barrels, drums, or other large containers. It typically features a rotating crank or handle that drives an internal rotor or gear mechanism, allowing fluid to be drawn up from the drum and dispensed through a spout or hose.

Working Principle of Rotary Hand Barrel Pump :

Rotary Hand Barrel Pump works on the principle of positive displacement, where a rotating mechanism draws fluid into the pump and pushes it out through the discharge outlet.
The pump consists of a handle that, when turned, rotates an internal rotor, vane, or gear system. As the rotor moves, it creates a vacuum inside the pump chamber. This vacuum causes the liquid from the barrel to be drawn into the pump through the suction pipe. The rotating mechanism (such as a gear, vane, or piston) traps a certain volume of liquid and moves it toward the discharge side. As rotation continues, the trapped liquid is forced out through the discharge spout or nozzle, ensuring a continuous flow.
