Working Principle of Air Operated Piston Type Barrel Pump:
The Air Operated Piston Type Barrel Pump works on a reciprocating principle powered by compressed air. When air pressure 2.5–9 kg/cm² is applied, it drives the piston up and down creating suction on the upward stroke to draw liquid in the barrel pump, and pressure on the downward stroke to discharge it through the outlet of the piston pump. This continuous action provides a steady, controllable flow without the need for electricity. SS-316 piston barrel pump is suitable for highly corrosion-resistant and ideal for safely transferring solvents, and other hazardous or viscous liquids directly from barrels or drums.
